Senior Logistics Manager
Odyssey Systems is continuously seeking experienced Senior Logistics Managers to support a high-priority acquisition mission within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (AFLCMC / HNC) at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX.
This posting is for an evergreen positionmeaning we are proactively building a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings as they become available.
AFLCMC / HNC provides full life cycle management of cyberspace and cryptologic systems that are critical to the Air Force, DoD, and national-level operations. As a Senior Logistics Manager, you will play a vital role in leading and executing logistics strategies that support acquisition milestones, sustainment planning, and supply chain assurance for mission-critical systems.
This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in DoD logistics, lifecycle sustainment, and acquisition support who are interested in future opportunities to contribute to the success of one of the Air Force's most important cybersecurity missions.
Responsibilities
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level logistics support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with planning, execution, and sustainment of mission-critical systems. You will apply your professional logistics expertise to ensure compliance with DoD acquisition policy and lifecycle management practices while delivering effective and efficient support capabilities to the warfighter.
Duties to include but not limited to :
- Working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Leading and completing complex projects.
- Identifying critical logistics requirements (e.g., funding, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services) needed to support the assigned effort.
- Planning, advising, and aligning logistics requirements with applicable policy, procedures, and guidance.
- Implementing and aligning logistics requirements as part of an IPT.
- Developing and advising on alternative courses of actions to adjust to funding, requirements, and schedule adjustments.
- Ensuring Asset Management and Material Accountability are compliant with applicable policies, procedures, and guidance.
- Supporting or leading a supply chain risk management working group and supply chain assurance are compliant with applicable policies, procedures, and guidance.
- Accomplishing a Logistics Health Assessment.
- Supporting or leading the development or update to a Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP).
- Implementing and managing a Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) program.
- Familiarity with defense acquisition management in accordance with the DoD 5000.
- Familiarity with the Product Support Business Case Analysis
- Familiarity with the logistics integrated product support model outlined in the DoD Product Support Manager Guidebook.
- Knowledge of the twelve (12) product support elements outlined in the DoD Product Support Manager Guidebook.
- Knowledge of agency program planning, funding, and management information systems.
- Knowledge of the acquisition Integrated Product Support functional makeup and interdependencies involved in providing logistical support.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
Qualifications
Citizenship : Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance : Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret clearance
Education : Not specified (see preferred qualifications)
Years of Experience : Demonstrated expertise in logistics planning, sustainment, and program support
Preferred Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related discipline
Years of Experience : 10+ years of logistics experience, including 5+ years supporting DoD programs
Certifications : DAWIA Level II or III in Life Cycle Logistics or equivalent preferred
Technical Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Working knowledge of defense acquisition processes, LCSP, and Product Support Elements
Familiarity with DoD logistics tools, asset management systems, and sustainment metrics
Interpersonal Skills
Strong communication and briefing skills
Effective team leadership and collaboration within IPTs
Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Location : Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX
Travel : May be required based on program needs
