About the Opportunity : FedTec is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Fort Bragg, NC. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of networking principles and technologies, particularly in a secure DoD environment, and demonstrates expertise in Juniper switching, Cisco ISE, and storage area networks. This role demands a meticulous approach to security, including familiarity with STIG implementation and compliance.
Position : Senior Network Engineer
Work Location : Ft. Bragg, NC (On-Site)
Clearance : Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)
Certifications : Relevant Industry Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, CISSP (Preferred but not required)
Primary Responsibilities
Network Design, Implementation, and Support :
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust and secure network infrastructure, adhering to DoD standards and best practices.
- Configure and manage Juniper switches and Aruba switches.
- Implement and manage Cisco ISE for network access control and security policy enforcement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation.
- Manage and maintain storage area networks utilizing technologies such as 3PAR and NetApp.
- Configure and troubleshoot SAN network connectivity, including fiber channel and iSCSI protocols.
- Implement and maintain security hardening measures according to DISA STIGs.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments across managed networks.
- Stay abreast of evolving security threats and industry best practices for managed networks.
