Sr. Buyer, Indirect Material – Facilities, Tooling, Equipment, Mechanical, MRO
What you will do
ADTi is looking for an experienced procurement professional to own the Facilities / Tooling / Equipment / Mechanical / MRO spend. You will work closely with cross-functional plant and HQ teams to develop and lead implementation of global procurement strategies for the Facilities / Tooling / Equipment / Mechanical / MRO categories. You will also lead both traditional and non-traditional supplier procurement activities, ensuring timely execution and focusing upon solutions which improve services and reduce costs.
Approved work locations include Grandview MO or Plano TX.
How you will do it
- Facilitate supplier procurement process and negotiations relative to business requirements and cost, maximizing ADTi’s leverage and negotiating position.
- Lead supplier contracting negotiations and execution, collaborating with corporate legal for escalation of certain risk-related terms and conditions.
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with cross-functional internal stakeholders to increase engagement in new launch and business sustainment projects, as well as develop a robust procurement project pipeline.
- For each procurement project, ensure project alignment and drive collaborative procurement efforts with the necessary cross-functional counterparts and matrix teams (e.g., IT, Risk Management, HR, Compliance, Legal, Real Estate, etc.) to maximize transactional efficiency and mitigate potential risks.
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key suppliers to understand the suppliers’ current services for the company as well as additional capabilities that could lead to future opportunity.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of business and functional strategic roadmaps and resulting business requirements, as related to assigned categories.
- Identify and drive cost out and cost avoidance projects for the supply management organization through procurement activities including RFx, Negotiation, as well as other traditional and non-traditional activities; calculate and report savings from those projects.
- Drive compliance of enterprise agreements
- Assist with key supplier issue resolution and risk mitigation, as required.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of marketplace, benchmarks, and industry best practices for assigned categories.
- Development of tools, processes, and reports to communicate, analyze, and make effective recommendations in key areas of responsibility.
