Job Summary :
The Kaiser Permanente Pharmacy Technician performs functions that support the daily workflow of the pharmacy. The Kaiser Permanente Pharmacy Technician ensures the timely and appropriate distribution of drug therapy in compliance with state and federal laws and in accordance with Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures.

Knowledge of Pharmacy law and its standards of practice.
Skill in compounding extemporaneous entities.
Ability to identify specified issues and bring to attention of pharmacist.
Problem-solving skills to work with patients and other health care providers.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Customer service skills.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations, identify drug names, and have knowledge of most common uses for pharmaceuticals.
Preferred Qualifications :
Two (2) plus years of IV experience.
Two (2) plus years of warehouse experience.
Ability to use available resources and tools efficiently and effectively.

Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program.
