The Process Analyst serves as a subject matter expert on Release Management processes by analyzing current workflows, identifying process improvement opportunities, documenting standards, monitoring process performance, and supporting governance activities. This position plays an important role in reducing release risk, improving deployment quality, and driving operational excellence through standardized processes and data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver with strong analytical skills, experience working in technology organizations, and a passion for continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support release planning, scheduling, and deployment activities across multiple technology teams.
  • Maintain release calendars and assist in managing release dependencies and conflicts.
  • Monitor release readiness by tracking approvals, testing completion, implementation plans, and rollback procedures.
  • Support release execution activities and assist in resolving process-related issues during release events.
  • Ensure release documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained according to organizational standards.
  • Creates and/or maintains process documentation/workflows, knowledge articles and self-service guidance for applicable IT Services
  • Collects and documents business requirements for policy and process improvement, including automation efforts
  • Conducts maturity assessments against the policy/process activities to highlight areas of improvement or concerns
  • Updates and manages standards for multiple processes, to include identification of interdependencies between defined processes desired
  • Establishes and supports controls and procedures to review, assess and prioritize these requirements for incorporation into tool and process designs.
  • Extracts reports and provides a high-level analysis of data for review in alignment with supporting ITSM-defined metrics
  • Reviews information and trends to ensure the output of processes is achieving the desired results and the corresponding services are meeting agreed upon service levels.
  • Identifies and assesses issues and risks and bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management
  • Partner with Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, QA, Product Management, and Business teams to facilitate successful releases.
  • Participate in release planning meetings and communicate release schedules, dependencies, and status updates.
  • Work with Change Management teams to ensure releases comply with organizational governance and approval processes.
  • Provide guidance to project teams regarding Release Management procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience supporting software release management, release engineering, release deployment, DevOps operations, or related technology functions in a multi-application environment.
  • Experience coordinating and executing software releases across multiple applications, platforms, and technology teams.
  • Experience with software release management, release deployment, change management, and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience using GitHub, including Repositories and GitHub Actions; GitHub Copilot experience preferred.
  • Experience with DevOps and release automation tools Rundeck and Datadog.
  • Experience supporting application and infrastructure deployment activities in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with Ivanti, Atlassian Jira, and Confluence; related IT service management tools preferred.
  • Experience supporting WebLogic, Docker, Azure Cloud applications, and cloud-based deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM release management and change management disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple releases, applications, services, and competing priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with application development, infrastructure, and business teams to coordinate successful release deployments.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate across multiple technical teams.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and traditional development approaches.
  • Ability to document, communicate, and present release plans, deployment activities, risks, and resolution strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and effectively support cross-functional teams in a highly collaborative environment.
