Job description

Abacus Solutions Group is currently recruiting for a Sr. Manager, Warehouse Security - based out of a warehouse location in North Las Vegas.

Job Summary: The Sr. Manager of Warehouse Security is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing security programs across all domestic warehouse locations. This role ensures protection of company assets, employees, and facilities through physical security strategies, investigations, access controls, loss prevention initiatives, and crisis response planning. The position works cross-functionally with Operations, HR, Legal, and IT to preserve a secure environment and minimize loss across the distribution network.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive warehouse security strategy across all domestic sites, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead security governance: standard operating procedures (SOPs), post orders, audit cadence, and continuous improvement roadmap across sites
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multi-site security team (direct and/or dotted-line), including goal setting, performance management, and capability building.
  • Oversee physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion alarms, and guard force operations.
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests to identify risk areas and implement corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain site risk profiles; prioritize investments using incident trends, shrink data, operational changes, and threat intelligence
  • Lead investigations related to theft, product shrink, workplace violence, policy violations, and security incidents.
  • Partner with Operations and HR to ensure compliance with security procedures, visitor protocols, and associate access levels.
  • Develop and deliver security training programs, including loss prevention awareness, workplace violence prevention, and emergency response.
  • Manage security incident reporting, tracking, and analytics; present trends and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with IT on cyber-physical security, camera systems, and data protection measures.
  • Maintain crisis management and emergency response plans, including coordination for fire, active threat, natural disaster, and facility lockdown procedures.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and external security partners.
  • Own regional security budget (systems, vendors, guard services), including RFP/vendor selection, contract SLAs, and cost-to-risk optimization.
  • Oversee contract security personnel, ensuring consistent performance, staffing levels, and adherence to company standards.
  • Support new facility openings, remodels, and expansions by designing and implementing security infrastructure.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen asset protection, reduce shrink, and enhance overall security culture.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of physical security systems, access control technologies, CCTV infrastructure, and guard reinforcement.
  • Experience in workplace investigations, interviewing techniques, and evidence handling.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations, inventory flows, and common points of vulnerability within distribution environments.
  • Ability to perform security risk assessments and implement solutions to mitigate theft, fraud, and unauthorized access.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across operations, HR, legal, IT, and senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication and training skills with the ability to convey security expectations clearly to all levels of the organization.
  • Proven critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure, including during emergency or crisis events.
  • Strong data orientation: able to analyze patterns, shrink metrics, and incident trends to drive proactive action.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with law enforcement and external security vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate security, loss prevention, or asset protection, preferably in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading security operations across multiple sites.
  • Proficiency with physical security systems, CCTV platforms, and incident reporting tools.
  • Professional certification such as CPP, PSP, LPQ/LPC, or similar preferred.
  • Experience conducting and leading complex investigations.
  • Knowledge of workplace violence prevention programs, emergency response planning, and business continuity principles.
  • Ability to travel regularly (at least 40%) to domestic warehouse locations and must be able to work across time zones. Travel includes routine site visits and support for incident response as needed.
