Modernization & Sustainment seeks a Program Manager (PM) supporting the Platform Systems Integration (PSI) team program area in Indianapolis, Indiana. The PM leads a dynamic and multidiscipline development, production and sustainment team(s) within the PSI product line. In this role, the individual will lead quick-reaction program execution performance through focused messaging, leadership visibility, risk management, making critical decisions, organizational relationship, structured feedback and aligned goal setting.This leader establishes the vision for the program team and drives the team to exceed program objectives. The successful candidate will provide oversight to ensure adherence to program schedules, costs, milestones and technical performance, prepare corrective action plans for technical and schedule issues, and coordinate proposal preparation. The PM will be accountable for achieving all internal financial goals including profit and loss, supporting process improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance to all applicable policies and procedures. The PM will be responsible to the customer to deliver compliant solutions or services. The PM will work closely with customers across the Department of Defense to ensure programmatic concerns are addressed in a timely manner and foster a strong working

Lead technical collaboration with internal and external customers looking for new opportunities.Effectively delegate tasking to the functional team.Coordinate customer communications with contracts and IPT leads.Understand the program financial and performance status from top to bottom.Develop customer, competitor, and market understanding and relationships across USG and industry customers.Conduct primary and secondary research to determine customer needs and generate business leads by building relationships and identifying and qualifying new opportunitiesDevelop and implement multi-level and multi-dimensional customer contact plansUse consultative selling techniques to better understand customer desires and work with solutions development teams to create customer-centric solutionsAnalyze customer information and develop customer hot buttons, key performance parameters, and opportunity price-to-winLeverage capabilities of multiple functions and customer access to create, identify, develop and qualify opportunitiesDevelop initial opportunity capture strategy and conduct a smooth transition of opportunity to capture managerWork closely with capture managers to provide customer knowledge and strategic support for capture and proposal processWork closely with other program managers to provide customer knowledge and strategic support for executing programsPosition will require 25-50% domestic travelRequired Qualifications / Skills : Four (4) or more years of relevant work experience.Four (4) or more years of successful Department of Defense (DoD) program management or Integrated Product Team (IPT) experience.8 (8) or more years of successful leadership experience successfully leading a cross functional team of diverse individuals.Bachelor's degree or Eight (8) years of additional work experience in lieu of degree.Entrepreneurially minded individual with demonstrated experience growing and executing a successful business, program and / or leadership of teams.Demonstrated innovative 'out of the box' thinking to support business objectives.Experience leading development teams and system requirements management.Experience utilizing program management practices including scheduling, earned value management systems (EVMS), financial systems and program control, risk and opportunity (R&O) management.Sound ethical values built upon trust, respect and 'doing the right thing'.Effective oral, written, listening and computer skills to develop and present narratives and briefings using Microsoft Office.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with multiple levels of management and individual contributors on teams.Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools.Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance.Desired Qualifications / Skills : Experience and understanding of the DoD 5000 lifecycle model, DoD uniform / civilian acquisition experience, and DoD development processes.Experience on DoD Production, Depot, Refurbishment, or Repair type programs.Experience on DoD Internal Research and Development (IRAD, Customer Research and Development (CRAD), Technical Demonstration (TD), System Development and Demonstration (SDD) or Engineering, Manufacturing, & Development (EMD) Programs.Experience with weapon systems or special mission military platforms, architectures, capabilities, customers, and / or missions.Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) degree and / or experience.Proposal development experience to include writing of detailed Basis of 's Degree or other graduate degree.Education Requirements : Bachelor's degree or eight (8) years of additional work experience in lieu of degree.Benefits include the following : Healthcare coverageRetirement planLife insurance, AD&D, and disability benefitsWellness programsPaid time off, including holidaysLearning and Development resourcesEmployee assistance resourcesPay and benefits are subject to change at any time and may be modified at the discretion of the company, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.
