Job Description
Summary : Ideal candidate with a background in tool and die design / fabrication for complex molds. Candidate understands material castings and will be involved in the design stages of molded fiber packaging products. The ideal candidate would possess the knowledge and ability to fabricate both prototype and production tooling in support of sales and the manufacturing process.
Expectations and Responsibilities :
- Strong mechanical ability associated with mold tooling design, fabrication, repair, and modification.
- Ability to understand complex geometry.
- 2 to 5 years’ experience programming, setting up, and operating precision CNC tooling. (3axis) vertical milling machines. 4th axis (rotary table) knowledge is a plus
- Proficiency with CAM programs MasterCAM or similar.
- Proficiency in using HAAS or compatible CNC controller.
- Ability to understand and make edits to CN G-code and Post processor
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD packages, Solidworks, AutoCAD or similar.
- Skills including : work piece control concepts, tolerance stacking, datum controls, and fixturing concepts.
- Able to use & interpret precision measuring devices. (micrometers, Vernier calipers, hand tools & gages).

Language Ability : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability : Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; MAS 500 software; internet software; and manufacturing software.
