Job descriptionEnsure seamless integration of electro-mechanical parts, PCBAs, and cables into production by reviewing and refining supplier processes. Conduct quality and process audits to verify suppliers align with manufacturing and quality requirements. Lead the development and approval of supplier quality plans. Review engineering drawings and specifications with suppliers to ensure proper understanding of requirements. Assist in the creation and review of PFMEAs, control plans, inspection plans, and test plans to maintain production quality. Collaborate with teams on cost reduction, new product introduction, and quality improvements. Utilize quality methodologies such as SPC, Six Sigma, Poka-yoke, and lean manufacturing to enhance processes. Participate in Product Readiness Reviews (PRR) and oversee final inspection (sell-off) activities. Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and internal quality assessments. Analyze supplier performance and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement. Work independently on complex quality issues, applying sound judgment and company policies to develop solutions. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on supplier quality engineering. Experience working with electro-mechanical parts, PCBAs, and cables in a quality engineering capacity. Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, SPC, AS9100 quality systems, and supplier audit methodologies. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T. Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvements.
