Summary
The Senior Recruiter, reporting to the Director of Talent and Organizational Development, leads full cycle recruiting efforts across all levels of Compass Minerals. This role identifies, attracts, and hires best in class talent while delivering exceptional experience for both candidates and hiring managers. The Senior Recruiter works both independently and collaboratively to build strong talent pipelines, support business growth, and strengthen Compass Minerals' position as an employer of choice. This role plays a critical part in elevating Talent Acquisition and shaping the organization's future workforce.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, selecting, presenting, and closing candidates across all levels of the organization.
- Partner closely with HR and hiring leaders to ensure a seamless, high?quality experience for candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruiting process.
- Manage a dynamic and demanding workload while balancing multiple priorities in a fast?paced environment.
- Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies and strategic initiatives that attract diverse, high?caliber talent.
- Partner with site HR Business Partners to understand local talent needs and provide strategic recruiting support for site?based roles.
- Leverage company programs, partnerships, and networks to proactively build pipelines for critical and frontline roles.
- Build strong business relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the organization to understand talent needs and provide strategic recruiting guidance.
- Expand industry knowledge by attending professional events, networking opportunities, and representing Compass Minerals at onsite and virtual career fairs.
- Lead and contribute to talent acquisition projects and enterprise recruiting initiatives.
- Support HR-related projects and responsibilities as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Required Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of previous full cycle recruiting within corporate, agency or combination of both within a competitive, fast paced environment.
- Experience recruiting for multiple areas of an organization with the ability to influence leaders at all levels.
- Proven experience driving recruiting strategy for management and above level positions
- Proactive recruiting and sourcing experience.
- Solid selection and interviewing skills with the ability to identify and source strong diverse talent.
- Experience with reporting and managing requisitions within an ATS, preferably with Taleo.
- Exceptional communicator and negotiator.
- Experience leading large projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms.
