Job descriptionPrepare REIT compliance tests, including quarterly asset and annual income tests. Prepare quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision calculations and footnote. Prepare annual earnings and profits calculation and supporting schedules. Assist with annual REIT taxable income projections. Responsible for federal, state, and local tax compliance, including the preparation of Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of tax return supporting schedules, Coordinate and interact with outside accounting firms for certain outsourced tax return Assist with tax audits, including sales tax audits, as needed. Complete federal and state and local tax research as needed. Ensure and document compliance with internal controls. Coordinate and update Interact with accounting and other departments especially in regards to ensuring CPA is required Bachelors in Accounting or Finance MUST have REIT experience Public accounting experience preferred. Excellent technical accounting experience. Ability to research authoritative literature for proper accounting treatment. Extensive spreadsheet knowledge required. Ability to work with a team and ability to pay close attention to detail. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
