Senior Tax Accountant

Staff / Senior / Manager level

Our client is a successful tax firm with a long history of bringing value and a commitment to their clients providing close and personal attention. They are currently hiring a Tax Accountant whether Staff, Senior or Manager level working with a variety of clients invarietyof industries including compliance and consulting services forindividualand closely held businesses and their owners.

Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Accountant :

Plan, execute, direct and complete tax engagements from start to finish while meeting budget requirements.

Prepare tax returns for a variety of clients, including corporations, S corporations, partnerships, trustsandindividuals.

Responsible for identifying, researching and resolving tax, accountingandbusiness issues.

Utilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters; document research findings inwritten memorandum.

Provide and communicate strategies to reach optimal tax minimization for clients.

Maintain good working relationships and professional communication with clients.

Prepare and review complex tax returns.

Actively participate in training team members.

Requirements of the Senior Tax Accountant :

Bachelor's in accounting, finance or a related discipline and at least 2+ years of tax compliance and / or tax consulting experience preferably with a minimum of one year in public accounting. A Master's in Taxation is a plus.

CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.

Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in tax compliance.

Salary is dependent upon experience. Offers awork / lifebalance with excellent benefits.
