Position: Payroll Specialist

Location: Onsite; Corporate office in Independence, MO
Schedule: Full-Time Monday-Friday DAYS

Aspire Senior Living is seeking a detail-oriented Onsite Full-Time Payroll Specialist to join our HR team! This Payroll Specialist role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for multiple senior living communities — helping support the dedicated employees who care for our residents every day.

Payroll Specialist Duties/Responsibilities:

• Process semi-monthly, multisite payroll using Paycor

• Verify employee hours, pay rates, deductions, and adjustments

• Manage payroll records and ensure confidentiality

• Perform benefit reconciliations to confirm deductions match carrier invoices

• Assist with internal and external payroll and benefit audits

• Prepare payroll reports and assist with compliance filings

• Partner with HR and Accounting on benefit and tax reporting issues

• Stay current on wage and hour laws and payroll best practices

Payroll Specialist Qualifications/Requirements:

• 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care

• Paycor experience strongly preferred

• Knowledge of payroll regulations and benefit administration

• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR/payroll systems

• Ability to travel as needed to regional locations
