Job Description:
Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for a Windows Server Administrator in Latham, NY
Description:
This position will be responsible for designing, overseeing and administering the Windows Server environment, Active Directory and all Group Policies. The candidate will work as part of a team to provide cross training and operational continuity.
• Microsoft Server Administration, Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, Distributed File System (DFS) and Intune administration.
• Will assist with continuing the implementation of client's transition to Microsoft Entra.
• Will be responsible for maintaining and managing the 200+ Windows Servers and ongoing OS upgrades.
• Cross training of team members will be required in support of this position.
Mandatory Qualification:
• Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system.
• Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 months of administration and management experience with Windows server infrastructure including Windows 2016 or higher.
• 60 months of AD design and administration experience beyond user creation/management.
• 36 months of Group Policy design, implementation and maintenance experience.
• 36 months of Windows Server vulnerability management, patch management, security hardening and compliance experience
• 36 months experience of PowerShell scripting related to managing server and AD objects and attributes in the infrastructure.
• 36 months experience of Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) schema and customizations, LDAP tools and Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI).
• 24 months of experience working with the Public Sector on Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• 36 months of Certificate Management or Certificate Authority experience.
• 36 months of experience with Varonis or other file system auditing software.
