Job descriptionCustomer Support : Provide technical support over the phone, in person, and / or via web to address hardware and software challenges. On-Site and Remote Troubleshooting : Resolve complex technical problems related to Supermicro equipment in an enterprise environment, including conducting tests and simulations to assist with problem-solving. Service Excellence : Lead preventive maintenance actions, manage repair / parts cycle times, and handle L2 ticket escalations. Technical Support Coordination : Collaborate with resellers and distributors to provide 2nd-line support. Project Ownership : Take responsibility for customer maintenance tasks, manage time effectively, and prioritize service expectations. Continuous Learning : Stay updated on new technologies and participate in required training and certification exams. 1+ years of experience servicing complex X86 systems and parts. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent; or an Associate's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering with relevant experience. Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments. Proficiency with Enterprise-grade server hardware. Hands-on experience in break / fix and on-site customer service. Excellent communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to explain solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong diagnostic skills, including knowledge of BIOS, drivers, and how application loads impact system performance. Familiarity with Linux is preferred. Ability to lift / carry up to 50 lbs and perform extended periods of standing during troubleshooting. Salary Range
70,000 - $100,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
