Position Summary
The Linux Endpoint Service Engineer is responsible for managing Linux (preferably Ubuntu) client endpoints such as workstations and laptops within operational technology (OT) environments. This role combines advanced technical expertise with strong service ownership to ensure endpoint reliability, policy compliance, and seamless integration within a large enterprise ecosystem. The engineer will lead efforts in image hardening, incident / problem resolution, and automation, collaborating with managed service providers (MSPs) and internal resources. Passion for leveraging AI in workplace processes is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Linux Endpoint Administration
Manage and optimize Linux (Ubuntu) client endpoints, ensuring high performance and compliance.
Harden Linux OS images in alignment with NIST benchmarks and corporate security policies, creating secure and reliable baselines.
Own the Linux endpoint service stack, overseeing incident, problem, change, and request management within an ITIL-aligned framework.
Provide expert-level troubleshooting of Linux OS issues, diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges.
Use intermediate to advanced Python skills to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with technical stakeholders (security, networking, infrastructure) and business stakeholders to align endpoint services with organizational goals.
Ensure all processes and systems align with company policies and regulatory requirements, such as GxP principles.

Must-Have Skills
Advanced-level experience managing Linux Desktop OS (preferably Ubuntu) in client environments, particularly in OT settings.
Strong familiarity with enterprise dependencies, including networking, Active Directory, ITSM tools, and system APIs.
