SUMMARY: The Service technician is required to have or be able to acquire a knowledge of specialty chemical products for use in oil and gas operations. The Service technician performs chemical treatment of oil wells, minor troubleshooting, and maintenance of the wells, and is the field representative to assist and answer customer questions or concerns. JOB DUTIES: Understand chemical treatment of wellsCommunicate issues and questions to immediate supervisor in a timely and thorough mannerInteract with customer and other field personnel to answer questions and resolve issuesMonitor, maintain and troubleshoot field equipment in support of chemical treatment programsPerform preventive maintenance/cleaning on pumps and trailers after daily useKnowledge of valve and well pressures while on oilfield locationsProperly label tanks according to regulatory agency requirementsAbility to use phone app-based system to perform service and communicate all customer location visits and to create shipping papers and make deliveries when necessaryPerform tailgate analysis/failure reporting when necessaryRig up equipment (gooseneck and/or bumper pull trailers)May be required to deliver chemicals when neededDemonstrates knowledge and understanding of chemical process and utilization in yard and field operationsMaintain company property in good order (equipment, tools, computer, phones, trucks, etc.)Required to wear appropriate PPE/safety gear in accordance with company policyKeeps current on safety techniques and takes advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skillsRecognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environmentAdheres to company safety policies and guidelinesOther duties may be assigned.
