Definition :

This position is responsible for providing supervision to Community Correction Monitors on assigned shifts. This individual will report directly to Security Supervisors, Security Manager and Director of Security on a continual basis. This individual will ensure the productive operation of all Security stations and Security related functions. Supervisory responsibilities for this position include overseeing individual Monitor workflows, the assigning of duties and the assigning of break times. Additional responsibilities include supervising the movement of reentrants on a twenty-four hour basis, maintaining building security, maintaining reentrant accountability by the consistent enforcement of rules and regulations, and providing a safe environment for staff and reentrants. Individual will prioritize emergency and non-emergency issues and use discretion in various situations. This person is responsible for overseeing and mentoring and training of new staff and acts as the point person in the Security department in the absence of the Security Supervisors and during extra ordinary occurrences.

Eligibility Requirements :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required.

Education and / or Experience :

Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalency and one year related experience required. Supervisory experience preferred. A Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field preferred. Valid Pennsylvania driver's license, Act 33 / 34 clearance and a high degree of ethics required.

Ability to function in a team setting. Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Supervisory experience is highly desirable. Must be able to work well with people and have the ability to be assertive and remain calm in the event of a crisis and be capable of maintaining control in any given situation. Computer literacy is a must.
