Job descriptionApplication of MIL-10718-M (A-5A) Filler Metal of MIL-E-22200 / 1. Execution in both the Vertical Up (3F) and Overhead (4F) positions. Burning : Proficiency with Oxygen / Propane Burning Torch. Heating : Proficiency with Oxygen / Propane Heating Torch. Comprehension : Ability to understand complex structural assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches, including weld symbols, material types, datum, and reference lines. Measurement : Ability to comprehend fractional dimensions using a ruler. Layout : Ability to layout piece parts for fabrication and assembly. Assembly : Ability to assemble structural piece parts in accordance with specifications in a quality manner. Physical Demands : Experience working in a physically demanding environment (shipbuilding, steel fabrication, etc.). Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with OSHA regulations relevant to the shipbuilding industry. Tool Usage : Proficiency in using vibratory tools (grinders and needle guns). Gouging : Proficiency in Air Carbon Arc Gouging. Work Planning : Ability to utilize Work Packages and Drawings to plan and execute work. Execution : Ability to use Molded Lines and Ship Reference Lines to execute required work. Complex Assembly : Ability to Erect, Set, and Makeup Complex-shaped Shell Plates. Structural Assembly : Ability to Erect, Set, and Makeup Decks, Bulkheads, Longitudinals, trunks, etc. Installation : Ability to Install and Replace Hull Inserts and Penetrations, as well as Install Miscellaneous and Complex Foundations.

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS a Hair Follicle Drug Test
MUST BE A US CITIZEN
MUST Pass a 10 year Background Check
MUST have at least 5 years of welding or shipfitting in the shipyard
Required Skills
- Multi-Pass Tack Welding :
Utilization of the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) Process.
$45.00 Plus $120.00 per diem for days worked
