Basic Job Functions :
Nucor Tubular Products in Birmingham, AL is seeking candidates for the Shipping Dispatcher positoin. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Setup and coordinate NTP-Birmingham deliveries with customers and carriers.
- Work with Customer Service, Production and Warehouse teams to maintain an up-to-date, accurate and balanced shipping schedule.
- Ensure Carriers are Nucor Master Carriers and assist Production Control Supervisor with Outside Carrier recruitment.
- Ensure that all shipping documents are current and comply with all Federal and Company requirements.
- Reconcile production and shipping records to ensure complete shipment of materials.
- Maintain up-to-date records for Shipping.
- Resolve carrier claims
- Participate, as needed, with freight rate negotiations.
- All other duties, as assigned.
