Job description

SHIPPING & RECEIVING LABORER

Evansville, IN

Frontier-Kemper Constructors, Inc., a leader in heavy civil construction and underground construction in North America and Canada, is seeking experienced candidates for our Shipping & Receiving Laborer position at our Evansville, Indiana location .

The position is responsible for providing general shipping & receiving services for our shop, projects and locations. This position also provides labor support for our Equipment & Shop Services Department, as needed.

The essential functions of the position are :

Loads, transports and unloads materials, supplies and equipment.
Check in deliveries and match inbound product to Purchase Orders (PO).
Notifies PO requestors by email, phone, or by delivering product to departments when their order has arrived.
Process requests for package and freight shipments.
Maintains safety supplies stock and notifies Operations Manager when supplies need to be ordered.
Perform other Shipping & Receiving tasks as directed.

The successful candidate will have :

Must have a valid driver’s license to operate forklift and company vehicle(s).

One year of stable work history, but willing to train.

Must be skilling in using hand tools, small power tools and forklifts.

Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull.

Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to communicate with others effectively.

Ability to work in a collaborative manner with multiple team members

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

Must be able to work indoors and outdoors with inclement weather conditions and have regular attendance.
