Amazon DSP Operations Manager in Elmwood, Louisiana

Qualifications :
Must be at least 21 years old.Valid US DA's License required.Eligible to work in the US.Must pass a pre-employment drug test.Physically able to lift and carry 50 lbs without assistance.Ability to think on your feet and problem-solve in stressful situations.Must have basic computer skills (including Google Docs / Sheets, Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and be able to operate a smartphone / GPS device. Ability to provide directions professionally.People management experience is required; DSP / Amazon / UPS / FedEx management experience is a strong plus.Customer service experience required.Ability to work at least 1 weekend day.Job Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to) :
1) Ensure responsible delivery : packages are delivered on time, handled properly, and safely.
Liaison between Amazon team members, DAs, and dispatchers.Build and maintain core areas of the business, including DA scheduling, fleet management, and team management.Ensure readiness for the day, leading and supporting morning and evening dispatchers.Assign routes and conduct stand-up meetings with DAs covering safety and quality updates.Monitoring of route timeliness to avoid any returns.Ability to reroute vehicles when logistically necessary.Manage on-the-road accidents and incidents with composure.Verify vans are roadworthy for DAs.Manage daily performance of DAs to ensure safety and quality standards are met.Be prepared to perform any aspect of the DA job in case of emergencies.Being on call outside of work hours on your scheduled workdays.2) Deliver clear communications with confidence and professionalism :
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.Ability to initiate and enhance our mechanisms and processes.Must be able to problem-solve and de-escalate issues.Ability to coach DAs effectively on safety, quality, and pace performance.Utilizing communications tools such as Discord, email, and phone.Ensure new and existing DAs are trained to standards.Analyze weekly scorecards and provide coaching for areas of improvement.Work with Amazon stakeholders on DA and DSP metrics.3) Fleet Management / Light Maintenance :
Monitor, schedule, and manage preventative maintenance, recalls, and repairs.Minimize vehicle downtime.Ensure vehicle safety and damage inspections are being performed daily.Ensure cleanliness of all fleet.Rental / branded van procurement / return.Light maintenance as needed (replacing light bulbs, adjusting steps, plugging a tire, etc.)Communicate vehicle assignment to DAs4) Shift
