Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Ensures that all safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met
• Familiar with HAZWOPER and RCRA safety requirements as they related to the handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Ensures material is properly marked, labeled, and manifest shipment is in accordance with DOT regulations and Company policies.
• Safely operates the pump truck and manages all pumping operations.
• Safely operates the wastewater treatment plant in accordance with permit requirements.
• Ensure pre-operational checklists are completed.
• Responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of pump shop equipment.
• Trouble shoots equipment and makes minor repairs.
• Provides daily feedback of work progress and quality results
• Guarantees the readiness of all machines and equipment in the responsibility area.
• Provides daily safety instructions to the pump shop team
• Immediately reports all accidents, near misses, and injuries involving employees to the Safety Manager and Supervisor.
• Provides actionable input for pump shop continuous improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke. Work may be carried on indoors or outdoors and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.
