We are currently seeking a caring and compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Position Summary The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role supports the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services focused on improving functional mobility, strength, and independence for our residents. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Treat patients as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist * Implement treatment plans to restore and maintain functional mobility * Document daily treatment notes and progress in accordance with state and facility standards * Communicate patient progress, concerns, and outcomes with the rehab and interdisciplinary team * Participate in care conferences as needed * Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized therapy department * Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, mobility, and discharge planning * Comply with all federal, state, and facility regulations and policies Qualifications * Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program * Active California PTA license in good standing * Current BLS certification * Demonstrated clinical competence and sound judgment * Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills * Excellent communication skills with residents, families, and staff * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team * Skilled nursing or geriatric experience preferred Work Environment / Setting * Inpatient Skilled Nursing Facility * Long-Term Care * Short-Term Rehabilitation Center * Geriatric population * One facility location only Why Join Bakersfield Post Acute? * Competitive PRN pay range * Supportive rehab and leadership team * Stable, well-respected skilled nursing facility * Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on resident outcomes We are an equal opportunity employer.
