Speech and Language Pathologist
Towne U.S. is currently seeking a skilled / motivated / top tier, Travel SLP to join our team for a 13-26 week assignment in Missouri. This is a fantastic opportunity for an SLP who enjoys variety and working with a diverse patient population while exploring new locations. The assignment will primarily focus on a SNF setting for this placement.

Speech and Language Pathologist Responsibilities :
Patient Assessment : Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities by reviewing medical histories, performing standardized tests, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Treatment Plan Development : Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders, speech articulation, language development, voice modulation, fluency, and swallowing difficulties.
Therapeutic Interventions : Provide evidence-based therapies, including speech exercises, language activities, cognitive-communication strategies, and swallowing techniques to improve patient outcomes.
Assistive Technology & Communication Devices : Recommend and train patients in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and other assistive technologies as needed.
Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely records of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
Collaboration : Work closely with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, and other professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for patients.
Patient & Family Education : Educate patients and their families on strategies to support communication and swallowing progress, offering guidance for home exercises and communication techniques.
Discharge Planning : Develop effective discharge plans by ensuring patients and caregivers are equipped with the tools, resources, and knowledge needed to continue therapy and maintain progress at home or in the community.
