About the Role :
The Marketing team at PitchBook is critical to fueling the company's growth by using a variety of strategies to increase brand awareness and support our Sales and Customer Success departments in growing and retaining our client base. The Marketing department is responsible for all demand generation efforts by executing engaging campaigns, effective product marketing strategies, and attending client and trade-show events. The Marketing team is also responsible for promoting the PitchBook brand and managing internal communications.
Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Social Media Manager is responsible for driving strategy, managing and executing our social media content to drive brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation. This role requires a blend of brand strategy, content creation, graphic design and multimedia skills, and data-driven analysis to optimize our social media efforts across various platforms. They will work closely with our communications, creative, and go-to-market campaigns teams to develop compelling social media content that resonates with our target audiences, is tailored for different platforms, and is aligned with marketing's strategic initiatives. This role must have a strong understanding of PitchBook's business, suite of products, target audience, and market trends as well as PitchBook's brand voice, tone, and design standards. They must be a self-starter that can anticipate and proactively identify opportunities to execute best-in-class evergreen and campaign-based social media content, while also maintaining a comprehensive content calendar. This role will require a passion for narrative storytelling and developing innovative, effective content campaigns across different channels, as well as testing creative hypotheses, reporting on learnings, and building on strategic insights.
Primary Job Responsibilities :
- Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive social media content calendar aligned with business goals, marketing campaigns, and strategic initiatives
- Create engaging and informative content tailored to various social media platforms, including LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
- Write compelling copy that reflects the brand's voice and positions the company as a thought leader in the financial industry
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to source and develop content, including PR, research, news, creative, employee engagement, and internal communications
- Collaborate and coordinate social media posts and campaigns with digital marketing and paid social media teams to align and optimizeperformance marketing
- Design eye-catching graphics and images to enhance the visual appeal of our social media posts
- Utilize multimedia tools to create dynamic content, such as animations, video, and interactive posts
- Collaborate with our in-house creative team to ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identity across platforms
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key social media metrics and performance indicators
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data to optimize content strategy and improve engagement and reach
- Utilize social media management and analytics tools to track campaign success and refine tactics based on performance
- Stay informed about social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of digital marketing
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Working Conditions :
We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it's helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days / week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days / week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+days / week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
