Pay Rate : $14.25 / hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop captivating content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn that resonates with our audience.
  • Be comfortable in front of the camera, capturing moments and experiences.
  • Propose and create weekly photo / video content that aligns with our branding and current trends.
  • Support the management of our social media content calendar to ensure timely postings.
  • Conduct competitive and market research to enhance our digital content strategies.
  • Learn about digital advertising strategies and analytics to optimize our campaigns.
  • Engage in social listening to identify audience needs and emerging trends.
  • Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity and grammatical accuracy.
  • Represent Treasure Island Resort & Casino at various on-site and off-site events during evenings and weekends.
  • Commit to working 3-5 special events such as parades, concerts, fairs, and festivals to assist with property needs.

Each intern's specific duties may vary, providing a comprehensive experience that satisfies internship requirements.

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience.
  • Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year post-secondary educational program pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong familiarity with social media platforms and their trends.
  • Understanding the nuances of creating content tailored for specific digital platforms.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficiency with DSLR cameras.

    • Skills

  • Solid computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to manage projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in content creation, photography, and videography.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Highly organized with the ability to adapt to changing priorities quickly.
  • Exemplary verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.

    • Abilities

  • Capable of working quickly and efficiently.
  • Adhere to established dress code policies and maintain good personal hygiene.

    • REQUIRED TRAINING

  • Guest service training provided by Treasure Island.
  • Any position-related training as determined by the division director.

    • PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional walking and standing.
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions.
  • Good hand-eye coordination is essential.

    • WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Work primarily occurs in the administration building, but may extend to the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, loud noises, and cigarette smoke, as well as outdoor guest events.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors across various weather conditions.
  • Extensive computer use is required for this position.
