Sequoias Community College District is seeking candidates who are qualified and equity-minded to fill a full-time, tenure-track faculty position for Instructional Design and Professional Development in Academic Services beginning August 2025.

Job Duties
The successful candidate will :
- Use a comparative Ethnic Studies approach to teach face-to-face sections of “Introduction to Ethnic Studies and Social Justice Studies.” Other class assignments may include Ethnic Studies courses in their subfield(s) of specialization.
- Instruct day and evening classes on one or more of the Sequoias Community College District sites, including the Visalia, Hanford, and / or Tulare campus.
- Use mixed learning and teaching methods appropriate for community college students.
- Assess student performance and progress through different types of course assignments.
- Perform related teaching duties as assigned, including timely compliance with clerical and administrative responsibilities related to enrollment, attendance, and student drops.
- Refer students to appropriate support services, programs, and / or resources as needed.
- Contribute to the development and growth of the Ethnic Studies Department and to the growth of its Associate Degree for Transfer.
- Regularly collaborate with Ethnic Studies faculty to assess and revise measurable student performance indicators for reporting on student learning outcomes as needed for each course.
- Collaborate on department initiatives, program review, program and student learning outcomes development, and assessment to improve student learning.
- Satisfy faculty professional development through options such as trainings, workshops, conferences, serving on district committees, and community involvement.
- Perform other professional responsibilities, including holding regular office hours, participating in department / division meetings, and creating, participating in, and sustaining an atmosphere of social justice that is respectful of diversity districtwide.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
