About The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs
The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs is multidisciplinary and focuses on understanding the global context of advances in science and technology. Georgia Tech is a top-ranked public research university situated in the heart of Atlanta, a vibrant city with great economic and cultural strengths. The Institute is a member of the University System of Georgia, the Georgia Research Alliance, and the Association of American Universities. The Nunn School is a member of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs. Nunn School faculty may hold joint appointments with other units across the Institute including, but not limited to, the School of Public Policy, the College of Computing, and the Scheller College of Business. Job Summary
The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs (www.inta.gatech.edu) at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a full-time lecturer position, effective January 1, 2025 . This is a one-year position. The applicant will have academic and teaching expertise in public international law, Russian and Eurasia studies, and political sociology. This position will include teaching in these areas as well as ethics in international affairs, international law, and post-Soviet Politics. The position will also include conducting qualitative research on Russian foreign and security policy.
Responsibilities
- Teaching courses in the areas of Post-Soviet politics, Foreign policy of Russia and Eurasia, Political sociology, and ethics and intentional affairs.
- Conducting qualitative research on Russian foreign and security policy.
Required Qualifications
Graduate degree International Law and Foreign Law, History and Theory of State and Law, Russian Foreign Policy, Sociology, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have a terminal degree (PhD or JD) in the fields of International Law and Foreign Law, History and Theory of State and Law, Russian Foreign Policy, or political sociology with a focus on Russia and Eurasia.
