Job descriptionWork requires a professional level of knowledge acquired in a degree from an NAAB-accredited Architecture program with an interest in Architecture, Construction, Design Build, and Engineering. Relevant and sufficient work experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Registered Architect. Over 5 years of experience preferred. Supervision of 2-3 Associate Level Architectural Designers. Comprehensive understanding of and ability to coordinate and lead the design disciplines in developing technical solutions. Proficient in managing the development of construction drawings and specifications. Knowledge of all aspects of professional practice from schematic design through project close-out. Highly proficient in Revit. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and consultation skills. Excellent leadership skills Ability to work independently Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to acclimate to project management software or related software.

We are seeking a Lead Architect to lead the planning and design of architectural projects and contribute to the architectural components of engineering projects. This role is responsible for overseeing the development of architectural drawings, specifications, programs, reports, permit applications, and renderings. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, technical expertise, and leadership to guide Associate-level designers through all phases of design.
Here's What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee the development of construction documents and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project goals, building codes, and regulations.
- Lead the development and preparation of architectural design drawings from conceptual design to construction documents, including sketches, digital models, and renderings, using established company drafting standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects in the design and drafting activities for various projects.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects in technical tasks such as take-offs, estimates, schedules, scopes of work, reports, and technical research.
- Train staff to efficiently operate computer-assisted design and drafting workstations.
- Occasionally, perform field surveys to create drawings of existing conditions.
- Lead client meetings.
- Interface with senior staff to complete single and multidisciplinary projects.
