Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re hiring a Software Tester for a remote role based out of Rochester, Minnesota.
Join a leading healthcare organization known for its innovation, patient-focused mission, and collaborative work culture. In this role, you’ll be responsible for conducting detailed software quality assurance testing on web and mobile applications to ensure accuracy, compliance, and functionality across multiple product lines.
There is no application deadline for this role.
Software Tester Responsibilities :
Define, perform, and document product validation for new and modified applications.
Execute structured manual test cases supporting multiple vended web and mobile apps.
Participate actively in project meetings and cross-functional discussions.
Maintain quality records, metrics, and test libraries using tools like Azure DevOps (ADO).
Identify, document, and report defects and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
Support compliance and quality review processes for software deliverables.
Work across both Agile and Waterfall environments.
Software Tester Qualifications :
3–5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
Hands-on experience testing vended web / mobile applications.
Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO).
Experience documenting, maintaining, and executing structured manual test cases.
Ability to prioritize across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
Experience with Aha! project development software (preferred).
Healthcare or clinical system testing experience (preferred).
Certification or training in Quality or Testing (e.g., CSTP, ISO, ITIL) (preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience (6+ years total).
Certification in Software Quality or Testing (preferred).
