Job descriptionStrong ability to interpret local zoning regulations and navigate through various municipal jurisdictions. Great collaboration skills, thriving in team environments while handling multiple projects. Proficiency with software including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite. Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities, adapting to feedback from clients and stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a landscape architecture studio. Progress toward Landscape Architect Registration is preferred. Experience in producing Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), and Construction Documents (CD). Strong illustration and graphic skills to convey design concepts effectively. Role Overview
As an Intermediate Landscape Architect, you will be vital in executing technical activities required on various exciting projects. You'll apply your skills in a supportive team setting while enhancing your professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of design projects under guidance from senior staff, while also mentoring junior team members.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to produce high-quality landscape architectural designs.
- Create hardscape and landscape plans for urban environments, including parks, streetscapes, and recreational areas, from entitlement through to construction documents.
- Support site evaluations and construction by conducting landscape inspections and coordinating with contractors.
- Perform code research, write specifications, and assist with permitting processes.
- Prepare detailed construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates while ensuring adherence to state and local regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of current design practices, materials, and technologies in landscape architecture.
