Responsibilities:
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will oversee essential reporting processes and ensure financial operations run smoothly. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly FLASH reports, quarterly
Call Reports, and consolidated financial statements.
Month-End Leadership: Managing the month-end closing process and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations completed by Staff Accountants.
Process Innovation: Identifying opportunities to automate workflows and implementing new software procedures to keep the department efficient and compliant.
Regulatory Compliance: Assisting with annual external audits and maintaining standards required by regulatory bodies such as the OCC, FDIC, and Federal Reserve.
Operational Oversight: Managing property taxes and renditions for over 300 locations, while processing intercompany rebills and allocations.
Team Collaboration: Mentoring staff through cross-training and participating in industry webinars to stay ahead of banking and accounting trends.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a talent for report writing or ad hoc data analysis.
An ability to remain organized while managing multiple deadlines and complex data sets.
A willingness to travel occasionally to meet business needs and a desire to help teammates with daily tasks.
Comfortable presenting financial findings and working alongside the Deputy Controller to streamline operations.

Qualifications:
You must hold an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
A Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or Finance.
Between three and eight years of professional accounting experience.
A developed understanding of accounting principles and experience with automated accounting systems.
Ability to pass a background investigation according to company policy
