Sr Manager, Engineering

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering, with experience in the defense / aerospace industry, to join our team.

The role is responsible for engineering management, engineering work in operations and / or production, or maintenance environments. Responsibilities are within the Engineering Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

We are on a 9 / 80 schedule (9 hour days Monday - Thursday, alternating Fridays off, opposite Fridays 8 hour days). This is a full-time on-site position.

Major Position Responsibilities

• Analyzes, develops, and evaluates systems as well as improving and maintaining current systems or creating brand new projects
• Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment
• Recommends operational plans with direct impact on results
• Requires communication with senior leadership on matters of strategic importance, i.e constructing and presenting status briefings on technical challenges
• Works with third party resources, site leadership and other necessary departments to bring comprehensive solutions for operations, production, or maintenance issues related to local production or test failures

Basic Qualifications

Pay Range (USD) $103,642 - $192,478

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
