Essential Job Duties
Our ideal Software Engineering Manager will be an integral contributor to the current and next generation of our app. You'll be working on multiple projects to continue making us the #1 HR Software for SMB business. If you get a kick out of solving problems and building beautiful world-class software, you will love BambooHR.
You will :
- Manage 1-2 scrum teams of Software Engineers. 6-15 individuals
- Demonstrate leadership and patience through regular coaching and mentoring in individual and team settings
- Consult with Product Management, UX Designers and Tech Leads to explore and deliver software solutions
- Manage and maintain your team's execution roadmap, including a grooming pipeline and delivery expectations
- Show and maintain accountability in team and individual performance (yours and others) in sprint goals and quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
- Participate in department hiring efforts
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our systems and processes
- Be a great culture addition and advocate for our company values
