What you will do
Johnson Controls is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Product Manager to join our team, focusing on access control software security products. As a mid-level individual contributor with 7+ years of product management experience, you will play a crucial role in the development and management of our access control software product line, ensuring it meets market needs and drives business growth. This position is considered hybrid. Candidates must be commuting distance to Westford, MA, or able / willing to relocate.
How you will do it
Product Development : Collaborate with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to develop and enhance access control software products. Ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
Market Research : Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Use insights to inform product strategy and development.
Product Roadmap : Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key features, enhancements, and timelines. Prioritize initiatives based on business value and customer impact.
Customer Engagement : Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and validate product concepts. Use customer insights to drive continuous improvement.
Performance Metrics : Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimize product performance.
Work with Marketing on collateral content creation including data sheets and sales presentations to drive product benefits.
Documentation and Training : Collaborate with TechComm and Training teams on maintaining product documentation, including user guides, technical specifications, and training materials.
Support sales and marketing teams with product knowledge including roadmap presentations, feature focused product demos and release webinars.
Work with Program Management and engineering on priority and requirements for core internal software integrations.
Stakeholder Communication : Communicate product updates, progress, and challenges to stakeholders. Ensure alignment with business goals and manage expectations.
What you will need
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
7+ experience as a Product Manager in a technical field, with experience creating product roadmaps for global products.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Experience with agile methodologies and product management tools including Jira.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced global team environment.
Up to 20% domestic travel
Preferred
B2B Channel experience.
Strong understanding of access control technologies and security industry standards.
