Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do : Eaton's Aerospace Facility in Orchard Park, NY is seeking a talented Programmer to create and work on desktop based internal user applications, working within the Advanced Manufacturing Team. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about computer science and enjoys finding technological solutions to solve everyday problems and looks for ways to improve. A desire to improve, attention to detail, and an analytical mind are essential qualities for success. The goal is to design and build software that improves the efficiency and visibility of our internal processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. • Regularly work with other teams to triage, troubleshoot and fix reported issues, errors, and exceptions
• Query and analyze live datasets to help identify problems within both standalone and complex deployments
• Test and debug code in multiple development environments
• Manage rolling releases of software in order to ensure compliance with changing requirements
• Document all enhancements, bug fixes, and database changes
• Collaborate with all groups in the organization to identify needs
• Contribute to problem solving activities. Work within all health and safety guidelines, proactively raising issues where these are encountered
• Build and maintain basic reports and report templates
• Creation of documentation for various manufacturing created devices and systems.
• Self motivated and able to work on projects alone and organize many projects at onceQualifications : Basic Requirements : Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Technology OR 3+ years technical software development experience within a professional environment, in lieu of degree?Minimum of one year of professional experience programming in multiple languages, Visual Basic, C#, SQL, SQL Server or MySQLminimum of one year of professional experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or MySQLAbility to travel, up to 25%This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
