Job Summary :

TriSMART Solar is seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar Installer to join our renewable energy team. The Solar Installer will play a vital role in the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems, ensuring they are installed efficiently and meet high-quality standards. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Solar Panel Installation : Perform the physical installation of solar panels, mounting systems, and associated components on residential or commercial roofs, ground-mounted arrays, or other designated locations.
  • Electrical Wiring : Connect solar panels to inverters and electrical systems following design specifications and safety protocols. Ensure proper wiring, grounding, and testing of systems.
  • Roof Assessment : Evaluate the condition of roofs and structures to determine their suitability for solar panel installation. Identify any necessary repairs or reinforcements.
  • Equipment Handling : Safely handle, transport, and install solar panels, inverters, mounting hardware, and other equipment. Use proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent damage.
  • Quality Assurance : Conduct thorough quality checks during and after installation to ensure that all components are securely and accurately installed. Address any issues promptly.
  • Safety Compliance : Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations on job sites, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. Report safety concerns or incidents immediately.
  • Documentation : Complete and maintain accurate records of installation activities, including photographs, measurements, and equipment serial numbers. Ensure proper documentation for warranty purposes.
  • Customer Interaction : Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the installation process.
  • Maintenance and Repairs : Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs on existing solar energy systems as needed. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Continuous Learning : Stay updated with industry best practices, technological advancements, and safety standards related to solar installations. Participate in training and development opportunities.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in solar panel installation or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring and basic construction principles.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
