Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Solar Installer with 5+ years of experience to join our team. This position will start as part-time with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar panel installation, electrical work, and system troubleshooting. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work efficiently on residential and commercial solar projects while ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities :
Install, maintain, and repair solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops and ground-mounted structures.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Perform electrical wiring and connections for solar systems, ensuring compliance with NEC codes.
Conduct site assessments and determine optimal solar panel placement.
Work safely at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and harnesses.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized solar installation equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with solar installations.
Collaborate with team members, project managers, and electricians to complete projects on time.
Maintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements :
Minimum 5 years of experience in solar installation or a related electrical field.
Strong understanding of solar energy systems, including inverters, batteries, and wiring.
Ability to lift heavy equipment (50+ lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
NABCEP certification (preferred but not required).
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
