Description : Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our solar installation company. The ideal candidate will manage 1 to 3 installation crews, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while upholding the highest quality and customer satisfaction standards. This role is vital in streamlining operations, fostering team collaboration, and driving the success of our solar installation projects.

Key Responsibilities :

Crew Management :

  • Supervise, coordinate, and support 1 to 3 installation crews on multiple projects.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure crews meet daily and weekly project goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field teams, addressing any challenges or concerns.

Project Oversight :

  • Planned, scheduled, and oversaw solar installation projects from start to finish.
  • Ensure all work complies with company standards, safety protocols, and local regulations.
  • Monitor project budgets and timelines, making adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency.
  • Logistics and Operations :

  • Organize and coordinate delivery of materials and equipment to job sites.
  • Track inventory and ensure crews have the necessary tools and resources.
  • Conduct regular site visits to review progress, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Team Leadership :

  • Train, mentor, and develop crew members to build a high-performing, cohesive team.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Customer Engagement :

  • Communicate with customers to address questions, concerns, or updates related to ongoing projects.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and professional service.
  • Compliance and Reporting :

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to company leadership.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges to improve efficiency.
  • Requirements :

    Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to travel to multiple job sites as needed.
  • Comfortable working in outdoor environments, including roofs and uneven terrain.
  • Capability to lift and move materials and equipment as necessary.
  • Qualifications :

  • Experience : Minimum 3-5 years of experience in solar installation, construction, or operations management.
  • Leadership : Proven ability to lead and manage multiple teams effectively.
  • Technical Skills : Understanding of solar energy systems, electrical systems, and installation processes.
  • Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and customers.
  • Organizational Skills : Excellent problem-solving, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Certifications (Preferred) : OSHA certification, NABCEP certification, or other relevant credentials.
  • Computer Skills : Be able to navigate email, CRM, and other computer-based apps.
