Role Description

This is a full-time on site position for a Commercial Solar Installer at Yes Solar Solutions. The role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar power systems, electric vehicle charging stations, and battery backup solutions. These are not utility scale projects, but commercial buildings with 100 kW to one Megawatt of solar. Most commercial solar projects are within a 50 mile radius of Cary, NC. Some overnight travel may be needed but it would be minimal. In addition to hands on installation, the commercial installer would be responsible for other crew members and potentially for temp labor, to get the job completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Solar Power and Solar Systems knowledge
• Familiarity with Power Tools and Hand Tools
• Experience in the Solar Industry 3-5 years
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• OSHA certification or completion within first 30 days
• Associate degree in Renewable Energy or related field is beneficial
