Drive cost reduction and lead-time improvement initiatives in collaboration with internal departments such as Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality. Maintain and execute a strategic sourcing plan, including market analysis, supplier capabilities assessment, and business objectives alignment. Stay informed on market trends, cost structures, and technological advancements to optimize sourcing strategies. Manage sourcing processes from opportunity assessment and strategy development to supplier negotiation, contract execution, and ongoing supplier management. Negotiate value across multiple dimensions, including pricing, total acquisition cost, contractual terms, timing, and alternative sourcing solutions.
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing supplier relationships and overseeing the sourcing process to ensure an efficient and reliable supply base. This role involves market research, cost analysis, supplier evaluation and development, contract negotiations, and performance management, including tracking key supplier metrics such as On-Time Delivery and Quality Objectives. This is a fully onsite position near Fayetteville, NC. Relocation assistance will be provided.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in economics, engineering, business administration, statistics, manufacturing, or a related field.
- At least seven years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management.
