Benefits :Role OverviewThe Spanish Pastor provides spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and ministry direction for the Spanish-speaking congregation and community of The Cross Church. This role is responsible for preaching, teaching, discipleship, and outreach, while partnering with church leadership to align the Spanish ministry with the overall mission, vision, and values of the church to Spread Gods Fame by making disciples of all people. This position reports to the Campus Experience Executive Pastor.
Job ClassificationFull-time Ministerial Exempt.
Schedule Office Hours
Monday Thursday 8AM to 5PM
approximately 30-32 hours
Ministry Hours
Wednesday and Sunday
approximately 6-8 hours
In addition to office hours and regular ministry schedules on weekends and Wednesday nights, this position also supports pastoral care visits and other ministry events as needed. More than 40 hours per week will be necessary and expected at times.
Responsibilities and Expectations Provide vision, strategy, and development of a dynamic, Biblical and Christ-centered ministry to the Spanish-speaking community.
Coordinate, implement and oversee Spanish worship services.
Preach and teach biblically sound, culturally relevant messages in Spanish.
Develop Spanish ministry programming and opportunities that will facilitate the spiritual growth and personal discipleship of Spanish-speaking adults, including growth groups, Bible studies and discipleship events.
Provide leadership and support to integrate children and students into age-group ministries for the discipleship of the next generation.
Build relationships within the Spanish-speaking community to foster evangelism and outreach.
Recruit, train, equip, disciple and show appreciate for Spanish ministry volunteers.
Encourage unity and connection between Spanish-speaking and English-speaking congregations
Provide pastoral care when needed, including counseling, prayer, funerals, hospital visits, weddings.
Administer accurate attendance and decision recordkeeping.
Administer the Spanish ministry budget, resources, equipment, supplies and building space related to Spanish ministry with care.
Coordinate event registrations, communication requests, facility reservations, catering, and other administrative support with church staff.
Collaborate with pastors, ministers, and directors to discuss ministry strategy and effectiveness to execute the overall vision and mission of the church.
Partner with church-wide outreach efforts and local organizations
Weekly attendance at a worship service, staff meetings, ministry team meetings and any other meetings required.
Foster a cooperative, healthy, and motivating relationship with staff, volunteers, and church families.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Committed to biblical Christian principles and teachings both professionally and personally.
Established pattern of Bible study and prayer.
Demonstration of character described in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
A personal conviction and calling to pastoral ministry to Spanish-speaking communities.
Fluency to preach, read and write in English and Spanish.
College degree or relevant ministry experience required.
Divinity degree preferred.
Licensed or ordained minister.
Ability to recruit, motivate, lead and release people into ministry roles.
Ability to use appropriate judgment in the areas of discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Commitment to excellence and a strong work ethic.
Cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Membership and regular attendance at The Cross Church required.
Sufficient good health to discharge duties properly.
Passing criminal, financial, and sexual misconduct background checks required.
