About the Role :
As a Special Education Professional, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students with special needs receive the support and education they require to succeed. You will work closely with students, parents, and other educators to develop and implement individualized education plans that meet the unique needs of each student. Your ultimate goal will be to help students with special needs achieve their full potential and become successful members of society.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- State certification in Special Education
- Experience working with kids, teens and adults with special needs
- Registered Behavioral Technician.

Responsibilities :
Key Personality Traits Needed :
Flexible : This position is to fill in for teachers and teachers aides as needed. You will be working with kids, teenagers and adults.
Patience : The ideal candidate will always remain calm in any situation.
Maturity and Integrity : The ideal candidate will hold themselves accountable, avoid gossip, maintain confidentiality, and respect their coworkers.
Caring : The ideal candidate will have a student first mindset. They will be able to put the students success, needs and their dignity above any interpersonal conflict or personal struggles.
Skills :
As a Special Education Professional, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and other educators. You will also need to be highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. In addition, you should have a deep understanding of the unique needs of students with special needs and be able to adapt your instruction and support to meet those needs. Finally, you should be comfortable using a variety of specialized tools and resources to support student learning and development.
Benefits :
Depending on education and experience $13 - $23 per hour expected to work 35-40 hours per week.
Paid Closures for Holidays, Winter Break, Spring Break and Summer Break.
Paid Time Off negotiable.
