From $18.06 to $22.48 per hour
This position will be assisting our Virtual Academy Students
All building principals have access to this job posting and will call selected candidates for interviews. Additional education and / or experience may be required for specific aide positions. Some positions are supported by Title I funds and require additional levels of education or certification. If hired for a Title I position, Title I Paraprofessional Certification will be required prior to hire or work with students.
What You Do : Paraeducators provide instructional support and deliver other direct services to students under the direction of a certified teacher or other licensed employee. There are two classifications of Paraeducators : I and II. The schools will hire depending on the needs of the students / school.
What You Need
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to communicate with students, colleagues, and parents / guardians orally and in writing
Basic academic and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working or volunteering in a school setting
Experience working with individualized education plans (IEPs)
Associates degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a similar field
Experience working as direct support professional, personal care aid, CNA, or similar position
