This full time position will work daytime hours with on call responsibilities.

GENERAL OVERVIEW :

Provides supervision of staff and area functions; serves as a physician liaison; and performs prescribed imaging and patient care services as per protocol. Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to independently perform angio imaging per established protocols. Prepares for and assists the physician while performing procedures. Prepares contrast media and / or medications within accepted scope of practice. (30%)
• Implements radiation and patient safety standards and provides technical expertise for development of protocols. (10%)
• Completes all required documentation for procedures e.g. regulatory, billing protocols, and image distribution. Charges for supplies and maintains needed inventory for procedures. (20%)
• Assists in the management of human resources and non-labor expenses and activities for the department; maintains a quality assurance program according to regulations established by regulatory bodies. (40%)
• Assists with tech scheduling, orientation and hiring of tech staff.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or required.
