Duties :

You will be expected to :

• Interpret project plans and specifications for compliance with projects requirements
• Prepare and submit written field reports summarizing daily activities / observations and results
• Monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications
• Interact with client representative (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sites
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Complete soils inspections, including Earthwork operations including placement and compaction of structural fill, utility trench backfill, subgrade preparation, excavation. Identifying and verifying the use of approved materials, moisture-conditioning, lift thicknesses and degree of compaction during placement of fill. Sampling and testing of compacted fill materials
• Complete concrete inspections, including Concrete pre-placement inspections : reinforcing steel installation, prestressing, formwork, embeds, Concrete placement inspections : placement, consolidation, testing, finishing, curing, protection. Concrete post-placement inspections : surface finish, repairs, construction joint preparation, curing.
