  • Position Overview

    As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant , you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver speech and language therapy services that support children's communication development. You will play a critical role in helping children improve expressive and receptive language, articulation, social communication, and overall communication confidence in both individual and group settings.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized and play-based speech-language therapy services as outlined in treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
  • Assist with implementation of treatment goals targeting speech sound production, receptive and expressive language, social pragmatics, and early communication
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to provide education and strategies that encourage carryover of therapy goals into the home and community
  • Prepare materials and maintain a therapeutic, engaging learning environment
  • Document session notes and maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with clinic standards and state regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary care coordination when appropriate
  • Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or completion of a state-approved SLPA program
  • Current California SLPA license in good standing
  • Minimum of 1 year of pediatric experience (clinical or practicum experience accepted)
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Commitment to ethical, evidence-based care and continued learning
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with children aged birth to five , particularly in a clinic or early intervention setting
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required) – sign-on bonus available for qualified bilingual applicants
  • Familiarity with therapy documentation platforms and electronic health records
