The Speech Language Pathologist will have the education, knowledge and skill to provide in-patient and / or out-patient services, focusing on functional skills to enhance development, restore function and to prevent disability from pediatric conditions, illness and injury. Evaluation, treatment and home programming are provided for children with : feeding and swallowing disorders, articulation, voice, resonance, fluency and receptive / expressive language disorders. Responsibilities also include aural rehabilitation / auditory verbal therapy for hearing loss or cochlear implants and evaluations for augmentative communication devices. The Speech Language Pathologist will provide education to both the patient and caregivers as well as consultation to other professionals, clinics and agencies. Documentation and correspondence pertaining to these services shall follow department and system policies.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology is required
State licensure or eligibility
Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligible for application upon completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year and must be obtained within 12 months of hire
CPR - BLS required
