Hiring : School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 23 / 24 school year in Boise, ID. As a School SLP, you will play a critical role in supporting students' communication and language development, helping them overcome speech and language disorders that may impact their educational success. Your expertise will contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students can effectively communicate and engage in academic activities.

Responsibilities :

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and communication abilities

Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment results

Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students, targeting areas such as articulation, phonology, expressive and receptive language, fluency, and pragmatic skills

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement strategies and accommodations in the classroom and school environment

Monitor students' progress, document their performance, and make necessary adjustments to intervention plans

Provide recommendations and training to teachers and support staff on strategies to promote students' communication skills and participation in the classroom

Conduct screenings and assist in the identification of students with speech and language concerns

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required documentation

Requirements :

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

Current Idaho state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist

Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

Experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting is preferred

Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders, assessments, and interventions

Ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and a multidisciplinary team

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
